尽管《轨迹：黎之轨迹 II》于 2022 年 9 月在日本发行，但其计划于 2025 年初在西方发行，这已经是“在……我们过去处理《轨迹》游戏的时间表方面有了大幅缩短”。
历史上，该系列游戏让西方玩家等待了很长时间。例如，《空之轨迹》于 2004 年在日本推出 PC 版，直到 2011 年 XSEED Games 推出 PSP 版本后才登陆全球市场。即使是最近的作品，如《零之轨迹》和《碧之轨迹》，也花了十二年的时间才登陆西方市场。
前 XSEED Games 本地化经理 Jessica Chavez 在 2011 年解释了这些游戏的漫长本地化过程。她在博客文章中谈到《空之轨迹 II》时透露，用只有少数几名翻译人员的团队翻译数百万个字符的艰巨任务是主要的瓶颈。鉴于《轨迹》系列游戏中文本量巨大，本地化历时数年也就不足为奇了。
