These accolades cap off an incredibly successful awards season, marking a stellar year for the Swedish developer, Arrowhead. The BAFTA wins underscore the game's widespread acclaim and its impact on the gaming community.

It's worth noting that Helldivers 2 has shattered records by becoming the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game ever, selling an astounding 12 million copies within just 12 weeks. This feat is unlikely to be surpassed by any other first-party Sony-developed game. Since its explosive launch, the game has navigated through various challenges, including a reversal on PSN account requirements for Steam users, review-bomb campaigns, and a community that has frequently clashed with the game over balancing changes that were perceived as either too aggressive or insufficient.

Arrowhead has faced significant challenges in managing a much larger and more mainstream playerbase than ever before. Now, 14 months after Helldivers 2's launch on PC and PlayStation 5, the question remains: how does Arrowhead view its journey so far?
