According to Alessio Palumbo of Wccftech, some developers have even delayed game releases to coincide with the PS5 Pro's anticipated launch.

Palumbo revealed a noteworthy detail: "A developer, who preferred anonymity, spontaneously mentioned receiving the PS5 Pro's specifications and expressed confidence in Unreal Engine 5's significantly improved performance on the new hardware compared to the standard PlayStation 5."

This corroborates a recent Multiplayer (Italian gaming site) livestream report detailing a developer postponing a game release to align with the rumored PS5 Pro launch. Palumbo added, "Considering Multiplayer's report, I believe this is a different developer. Furthermore, the studio I spoke with isn't a major player, suggesting that numerous developers already possess the PS5 Pro's specifications."

Further bolstering Palumbo's claims and the Gamescom 2024 developer insights, analyst William R. Aguilar hinted on X in July that Sony will likely announce the PS5 Pro later this year. Aguilar speculated a September 2024 State of Play announcement (unconfirmed), suggesting Sony needs to act swiftly to avoid impacting current PS5 sales.
