PlayStation Exclusives: 'Nightreign' Exclusive Demo on Consoles
FromSoftware's upcoming title will initially be tested exclusively on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Registration opens January 10th, with testing slated for February. This excludes a large segment of the fanbase from early access.
Bandai Namco hasn't publicly explained the omission of PC players from this initial test phase. However, selected console players will enjoy a first look at the game before its official launch.
Elden Ring: Nightreign continues the narrative of its predecessor, offering new challenges within a dark and ominous setting. While console gamers get early access, PC users will need to await further announcements regarding potential future testing opportunities.
A notable change in Elden Ring: Nightreign is the removal of the in-game message feature. Director Junya Ishizaki clarified that the approximately forty-minute test sessions don't allow sufficient time for message interaction. He stated, "We disabled the messaging feature because there isn't enough time for sending or reading messages during sessions, which last approximately forty minutes."
