In the thrilling co-op horror game, R.E.P.O., your primary objective is simple yet terrifying: retrieve valuable items and survive the onslaught of randomly spawning monsters. Success means escaping with your loot intact, earning you hard-earned cash to upgrade your survival gear. The menacing AI Taxman oversees this process, ensuring a fair (though perilous) exchange.

Successfully extracting valuable items involves locating and reaching the Extraction Point. Here, your C.A.R.T. of treasures is tallied, and the Taxman allows you to proceed to the Service Station, hopefully with a healthy bankroll. As you progress through R.E.P.O., this extraction process becomes increasingly familiar, transforming from a daunting challenge into a routine part of your survival strategy.

How to Extract in R.E.P.O.

Your first R.E.P.O. run features a single Extraction Point, conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck. This starting point remains consistent. However, as you progress to new locations, the number of Extraction Points increases, currently reaching a maximum of four. A red number in the top-right corner of your screen tracks your progress, indicating the total number of drop-offs required and those already completed.

After your initial drop-off, the location of subsequent Extraction Points becomes less predictable. Your in-game map (accessed by pressing "Tab") becomes invaluable. It reveals unexplored areas, aiding route planning and collaborative efforts in team play. This allows for a coordinated approach, maximizing map coverage.

The next Extraction Point's location becomes clear either visually or audibly upon reaching its vicinity. Locate the point and press the large red button to initiate the assessment. If you've collected enough items, place your C.A.R.T. within the designated grey area to avoid losing your hard-earned treasures. Repeat this process for each Extraction Point until you reach the final one. Note that after the last drop-off, you don't need to return the C.A.R.T. to your truck; a new one will appear in the next location.
