Delta Force, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is now accepting pre-registrations for its mobile release on iOS and Android. Launching in late January 2025, this Tencent-developed title marks a significant entry into the modern military shooter market. The game boasts a blend of missions and modes, emphasizing tactical gameplay.

For those unfamiliar, the Delta Force franchise is a veteran of the FPS genre, predating even Call of Duty. Inspired by the real-life US military special forces unit, the series has always focused on realistic weaponry and gadgetry.

Tencent's Level Infinite has revitalized the franchise with two core modes: Warfare, offering large-scale combat reminiscent of Battlefield, and Operations, delving into the extraction shooter style. A single-player campaign, heavily inspired by the film "Black Hawk Down," and set during the Battle of Mogadishu, is also planned for 2025.

Addressing Cheating Concerns

Despite high anticipation, Delta Force has faced controversy regarding its anti-cheat measures. Tencent's approach, while aggressive, has drawn criticism. While their G.T.I. Security team claims dedicated efforts, restrictions imposed on PC hardware and software have been met with negative feedback.

Although cheating might be less prevalent on mobile, this initial negative reception could impact the game's overall success. However, the mobile platform's inherent limitations on cheating could still allow Delta Force to meet expectations.
