How to Start The Lion’s Crest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

After completing the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 tutorial and accessing the open world, speak with the scribe Gaibl in Troskowitz. He'll provide a riddle and the Brunswick polearm smithing recipe. You'll need to gather the materials, but crafting can be done at the blacksmith's forge.

The Lion’s Crest Riddle Solution

The riddle is: "Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still."

Leave Trosky Castle via the northern gates, heading north through the forest.

Follow the road, watching the left side for rocky formations with crevices. A cave containing a chapel will be found. Examine the cross near the rock to obtain the first piece of Brunswick's Armour and two treasure maps.

Map 1

Continue west on the road to a crossroads. Head north into the woods to a wolf den. The second armour piece is in a bag near the trees above the den.

Map 2

This map leads to Vidlak Pond. Follow the path behind the fisherman's house to a large rock formation along the cliffs. A chest containing armour is near a cross on the rocks.

Map 3

Fast travel to Zhelejov, leave the tavern, and cross two bridges towards Tachov. After the second bridge, take a small path to the river and forest. Follow this path to a hill; the armour is in a bag near a large tree at the top.

Map 4

The final map leads to a hill between the Nomads’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. Find rocks with a cross; the final armour piece is there.
