Xbox Developer Direct 2025: January 23rd Showcase Announced

Microsoft has revealed the date for its next Xbox Developer Direct: January 23rd, 2025. This marks the third annual Xbox Developer Direct, and the first showcase of 2025. Following the successful events in January 2023 and 2024, Microsoft continues the tradition with this upcoming broadcast.

The event, rumored earlier in January, is officially scheduled for January 23rd at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT. It will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch.

Confirmed Games for Xbox Developer Direct 2025:

The showcase will feature at least three titles:

• Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: A turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive (France), targeting a 2025 release and confirmed as a day-one Xbox Game Pass title.
• Doom: The Dark Ages: From id Software, originally announced in June 2024 and playable at QuakeCon 2024. Currently rumored for a mid-2025 launch.
• South of Midnight: A stylish action-adventure game from Compulsion Games (Canada), initially revealed in June 2023. A release date is anticipated.

More Than Just Three Games?

Previous Developer Directs exceeded 40 minutes and showcased multiple games. Considering this, the 2025 event likely holds further surprises beyond the confirmed titles. Past showcases have included previews of titles such as Avowed, Ara: History Untold, and Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2.
