World of Warcraft: The War Within - Patch 11.1 Prologue and Dalaran Epilogue Guide

World of Warcraft: The War Within's narrative continues beyond the Siren Isle update. Season 2, anticipated later in 2025, promises new endgame content and the next chapter. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces crucial story quests setting the stage for Patch 11.1, focusing on the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic fall of Dalaran.

Updated January 7, 2025: The latest campaign quests mark a significant turning point. Dalaran's fate, after years in Warcraft lore, is sealed in The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure and a farewell to this iconic location.

Accessing the Patch 11.1 Prologue ("Lingering Shadows" Campaign)

Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign begins immediately. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaigns isn't required, but recommended for context. The questline includes:

Previously gated for three weeks, the Dalaran Epilogue is now accessible (as of January 7th). However, you must complete both The War Within's leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz'algar factions).

Check Foundation Hall (Patch 11.1 prologue location). Khadgar's presence indicates readiness. If he's absent, unfinished campaign quests remain. The Dalaran Epilogue quests are:
