World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!

World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it's even bigger. Running for seven consecutive weeks until February 24th, this event offers a non-stop Timewalking experience across various expansions. Prepare to earn fantastic rewards, including a wealth of Timewarped Badges, a significant experience boost, and a chance to snag a coveted new mount.

This extended Timewalking celebration builds upon the successful five-week event from September 2023. Players will once again have the opportunity to earn the Mastery of Timeways buff, providing a 20% experience bonus after completing four Timewalking dungeons. However, the stakes are higher this time around.

The Timewalking Journey:

The seven-week journey begins with Mists of Pandaria on January 7th and concludes with Cataclysm the week of February 18th. Each week features a different Timewalking expansion, offering the usual quests, dungeons, and raids, along with the valuable Mastery of Timeways buff.

Rewards and Achievements:

Complete the Mastery of Timeways buff in five out of the seven weeks to unlock the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement and claim the adorable Timely Buzzbee mount! Timewalking vendors have also stocked new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Additionally, the Sandy Shalewing pet, previously unavailable, is making a return. And, for the duration of the event, the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest rewards Heroic-level gear.

Looking Ahead:

With the recent 20th-anniversary event's 11 weeks of Timewalking and this extended Turbulent Timeways event, players will have enjoyed a whopping 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking by the time it concludes. The February 24th end date for Turbulent Timeways also hints at World of Warcraft's future plans. Given the usual release schedule, this strongly suggests that Patch 11.1, "Undermined," will launch on February 25th, ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. Combined with the return of Plunderstorm and the upcoming War Within update, World of Warcraft is set for an action-packed start to 2025.
