Microsoft has just unveiled two stunning Witcher 3-themed Xbox controllers in celebration of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's 10th anniversary this month. These Witcher 3 Special Edition 10th Anniversary Xbox Controllers are exclusively available at the Microsoft Store, in both a standard version priced at $79.99 and a premium Elite Series 2 version at $169.99. As a fan of the game, I find it incredible that it's already been a decade since its release.

Both controllers boast the same captivating Geralt of Rivia-inspired etchings. The iconic wolf medallion that Geralt wears is intricately etched into the center of each controller. According to the announcement blog post, they also feature Glagolitic script, the oldest known Slavic alphabet, which is a nod to the game's unique aesthetic. Additionally, the right grip of the controllers showcases the red claw marks that represent the "III" from the game's title on its cover. The design is nothing short of spectacular.

Functionally, these controllers match the performance of their standard counterparts. The current Xbox controller design is, in my opinion, the best controller ever made. It feels fantastic in the hand and is durable enough to withstand the rigorous play from my kids.

The Elite Series 2 model justifies its higher price with additional features such as adjustable-tension thumbsticks, hair trigger locks, and a wrap-around rubberized grip. It also comes with interchangeable components, including thumbsticks of varying heights, different D-pad designs, and customizable rear paddles.
