It was a much-needed collaboration! Coolabi Group is joining forces with Red Games Co. to create the first-ever official mobile game based on Warrior Cats. The game, inspired by the bestselling book series, is set for release in 2027.

What else do we know about the Warrior Cats mobile game?

The game will be available worldwide, excluding China, with support for 12 languages at launch. More details are still under wraps for now.

Warrior Cats has been Coolabi’s flagship property for years, and for good reason. The franchise has achieved massive success across books, licensing deals, and digital platforms.

The fantasy series was originally published by HarperCollins under the pen name Erin Hunter. To date, it has sold over 77 million copies in 38 languages and spent more than 15 years on the New York Times bestseller list.

It all began when HarperCollins tasked editor Victoria Holmes with creating a fantasy story centered on wild cats. Holmes developed the concept and collaborated with authors Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, and others to form the Erin Hunter collective.

The first arc, The Prophecies Begin, kicked off with Into the Wild in 2003. From there, it grew into a vast universe of sequels, spin-offs, and graphic novels.

Meanwhile, the Warriors community has thrived online, with the Roblox game Warrior Cats: Ultimate Edition emerging as a major fan hub. The game has been played over 600 million times, and the series continues to fuel a passionate global fandom.

Who is Red Games Co.?

The studio is known for crafting family-friendly and multi-generational games. It has worked on collaborations with LEGO, Mattel, Hasbro, Crayola, and Moonbug, and also develops its own original intellectual properties.

For Coolabi, this upcoming game follows several major moves this year. They’ve secured Bonkers Toys as Master Toy Partner and Retail Monster as the North American Licensing Agent. The company also partnered with Tencent Video to develop TV and film adaptations.
