Unlocking the True Shu Ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Dynasty Warriors: Origins features three campaigns, each with a hidden true ending. This guide details how to unlock the true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction.

First, complete the Shu campaign. This unlocks replayability of past stages. Look for a gold banner next to "The Battle of Changban"—this indicates an alternate ending. Normally, you help Liu Bei escape while Zhang Fei defends Changban Bridge. However, to unlock the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao instead of ensuring Liu Bei's escape.

• Reduce Difficulty: Switch to "Historian" mode. The sheer scale of the enemy forces makes this a near-impossible task on higher difficulties unless you're exceptionally high-leveled.

• Choose Zhang Fei: Starting closer to Cao Cao's forces saves valuable time.

• Musou Rage: Be ready to unleash your Musou Rage when Cao Cao's army attacks. Prepare for two Grand Tactics: eliminating two officers and defeating 250 soldiers. Twin pikes are recommended for the latter.

After defeating Cao Cao's forces, the true Shu ending awaits after completing a few more missions.
