The problem, stemming from the Windows 11 24H2 update, caused games like Assassin's Creed Origins and Valhalla to malfunction since late 2024. Ubisoft released patches addressing the incompatibility, prompting positive feedback from players who previously experienced issues. While overall Steam reviews remain "Mixed," this fix represents a welcome development. There's optimism that Assassin's Creed Shadows, recently delayed until March 20th for quality improvements, will avoid similar problems. The game's successful launch is considered crucial for Ubisoft's future.
