The Dark Knight's reign in the video game world was once a constant stream of new releases. Rocksteady's Batman Arkham series, in particular, revolutionized superhero gaming, setting a high bar that continues to influence the genre today.

Yet, recent years have seen a noticeable decline in new Batman titles. A truly standalone Batman game hasn't been released since 2017's The Enemy Within, and there's currently no official word on when that will change. While the future holds exciting new superhero game releases, fans longing to don the cowl will have to look to the past to discover the best Batman gaming experiences.
