Tomnoki Studio's Sphere Defense is a new tower defense game for Android, drawing inspiration from the classic geoDefense by David Whatley. The developer, a longtime fan of geoDefense, aimed to recreate its elegantly simple yet challenging gameplay.

The Core Concept

The game's premise is straightforward: Earth ("The Sphere") faces imminent destruction from alien invaders. Humanity, forced underground, develops new technology to fight back. After years of setbacks, humanity finally possesses the firepower to launch a counteroffensive, and you're at the helm, tasked with saving the planet.

Gameplay

Sphere Defense offers a classic tower defense experience. You deploy various units, each with unique strengths, to repel waves of enemies. Eliminating enemies earns you resources to expand and upgrade your defenses. Higher difficulty levels demand greater strategic thinking.

Diverse Units for Strategic Combat

Sphere Defense boasts seven distinct unit types, offering strategic deployment options. These include:

• Offensive Units: Standard Attack Turrets (single-target), Area Attack Turrets (area-of-effect), and Piercing Attack Turrets (for linear enemy formations).
• Support Units: Cooling Turrets and Incendiary Turrets to enhance offensive units.
• Precision Strike Units: Fixed-Point Attack Units (precise missile strikes) and Linear Attack Units (satellite laser strikes).
