System Shock 2 Remaster Hits Switch for 25th Anniversary

Nightdive Studios revealed that System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition—their modernized take on the 1999 sci-fi horror RPG classic—has been rebranded as System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster and will also launch on Nintendo Switch.
The remastered edition is slated for release on Windows PC via Steam and GOG, alongside PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
The official synopsis reads:
It’s 2114. Emerging from cryo-sleep aboard the FTL ship Von Braun, you grapple with amnesia—only to discover catastrophe has unfolded. Hybrid mutants and lethal robots stalk the corridors as desperate crew echoes pierce the ship’s steel hull. SHODAN, a rogue AI hellbent on annihilating humanity, has seized control, and you’re the last hope. Navigate the derelict Von Braun’s labyrinthine decks, uncovering clues amid its atmospheric horror. Piece together the crew’s grim fate while evading SHODAN’s nightmarish dominion.
The release date will debut during Future Game Show’s Spring Showcase livestream on March 20, 2025, accompanied by a new trailer, Nightdive confirmed.
