Remember SAOVS, the action RPG by Bandai Namco that was launched in November 2022? Well, SAOVS, also known as Sword Art Online Variant Showdown, has finally been re-released after its infamous 'never-ending maintenance' which started in September 2023. As per their announcement in August 2023, the maintenance was expected to conclude in the summer of 2024. However, it took over a year for the developers to resolve core functionality issues and bring the game back online.

Sword Art Online Variant Showdown Re-released, So What’s New?

With the re-release comes the exciting Battle Royale Season 1, where four players enter the arena, and the one who racks up the most knockouts emerges victorious. Assemble your best team, dive into League Matches, and earn coveted Titles and accessories. The season is set to run until December 30th.

For those loyal players who stuck around before the maintenance, the Returning Player Campaign offers a special reward: 5 [Sword Spark] Mito Pickup Scout Tickets.

Celebrate the restart with the Six Great Campaigns event, where you can earn up to 100 free Scouts, collect login bonuses, and complete missions for epic rewards. This event continues until January 30th, 2025.

You also have the chance to obtain SSR [Sword Spark] Mito, a Light-elemental fighter, along with new SSR Ability Cards ‘Destroyer of Destiny’ and ‘Seasoned Comrades’, available until January 6th, 2025.
