SwitchArcade Round-Up: Reviews Featuring ‘Fitness Boxing feat. Hatsune Miku’, Plus New Releases, Sales, and Good-Byes
Farewell, SwitchArcade Readers! This is the final regular SwitchArcade Round-Up from me. After several years, I'm moving on to new adventures. But before I go, let's dive into one last packed edition!
Reviews & Mini-Views
Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU ($49.99)

Following the Fitness Boxing series' success (including the surprisingly good Fitness Boxing Fist of the North Star), this collaboration with Hatsune Miku was a smart move. I've been testing it alongside Ring Fit Adventure, and I'm impressed. It uses boxing and rhythm game mechanics for daily workouts and mini-games. A dedicated Miku mode is included, but note: it's Joy-Con only.

The game offers difficulty options, free training, warm-ups, progress tracking, and reminders. Unlockable cosmetics add incentive. While the music is excellent, the main instructor's voice is jarring and I recommend lowering its volume.

Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU is a solid fitness game, especially appealing to Miku fans. However, it's best used as a supplement to, rather than a replacement for, other exercise routines. -Mikhail Madnani
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5
Magical Delicacy ($24.99)

Magical Delicacy blends Metroidvania exploration with cooking and crafting. While the exploration is well-executed, inventory management and UI could use improvement. The backtracking occasionally becomes frustrating.

The pixel art, music, and extensive settings (including UI scaling) are highlights. Performance is generally smooth on Switch, with minor frame pacing issues. The game shines in handheld mode.

Magical Delicacy is a good game, but feels slightly unfinished. Quality-of-life updates would significantly enhance the experience. -Mikhail Madnani
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5
Aero The Acro-Bat 2 ($5.99)

A surprisingly polished sequel to the original Aero The Acro-Bat. Ratalaika's emulation is improved, offering a better presentation with extras like box scans, achievements, and a gallery. Only the SNES version is included, which is a slight drawback.

It's a solid platformer, refining the original's rough edges while retaining its charm. A good choice for fans and those seeking classic 16-bit platforming action.
SwitchArcade Score: 3.5/5
Metro Quester | Osaka ($19.99)

More of an expansion than a sequel to Metro Quester, this prequel takes players to Osaka. It introduces a new dungeon, character types, and challenges while retaining the original's satisfying turn-based combat and exploration. The new setting requires canoe use for water traversal.

Fans of the original will find plenty to enjoy, and newcomers might prefer starting here. It's a patient player's game, rewarding careful planning and strategic combat.
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5
