Snapbreak Games is now launching its surreal undersea puzzle-adventure game on mobile. I'm referring to Silt, which is currently in early access on Android. The full release is set for January 26th, 2026, on both Android and iOS.

The game blends horror and surrealism

You play as a solitary diver, plunged into a monochrome nightmare teeming with strange creatures, archaic machinery, and an overwhelming quiet. There's no heads-up display, no inventory system, and no cheerful objective log to point the way.

You are completely on your own. To solve the ocean's puzzles, your only tool is the ability to possess marine life, briefly becoming them to reach new places or cause chain reactions. It's an unusual gameplay loop that promises deeply disquieting moments.

Silt emphasizes shadowy aesthetics and a sense of psychological dread, focusing more on exploration and observation than quick reactions or resource gathering. With that in mind, take a look at the Silt early access trailer below.

As the trailer shows, the art direction is crucial for establishing the mood. Every scene in Silt is hand-illustrated by artist Mr Mead. It features a sketchbook-like texture that heightens the dreamlike, surreal quality of the visuals.

In this game, you navigate through layers of decay, forgotten history, and entities better left undisturbed. The creatures are bizarre, occasionally colossal, and frequently unnerving. You cannot combat them, but you can seize control of their forms.

You'll discover ruins and long-concealed mysteries littered across the seabed. A subtle narrative is also woven into the environment, implied through visual cues and your interactions with the world.

Snapbreak Games is known for visually striking titles like Lost in Play and Tiny Robots: Portal Escape. Silt represents their venture into darker, more experimental territory. Silt is now playable in early access in select regions. You can find it on the Google Play Store.
