Star Wars enthusiasts eager to dive into the first episodes of the new animated series, Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld, will need to venture into the world of Fortnite to catch the premiere before it hits Disney+. Epic Games has announced an exciting expansion of its Star Wars content, revealing that the first two episodes of this much-anticipated spinoff will debut exclusively within Fortnite. This move is part of Epic's broader strategy to enhance its Star Wars offerings during the upcoming Galactic Battle season, which promises a plethora of themed rewards and experiences.

Starting at 10 a.m. ET on May 2, fans can experience the premiere of Tales of the Underworld on the Star Wars Watch Party island, two days ahead of its Disney+ release. The episodes will feature Asajj Ventress and are accessible by linking your Epic Games and MyDisney accounts. As an incentive, eligible players will receive a First Order Stormtrooper outfit. While the full benefits of account linking remain undisclosed, Epic Games hints at additional perks on the horizon.

Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld is a six-episode series, animated in the style of The Clone Wars, focusing on the adventures of Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane. The series teases Ventress confronting a new chance at life and a new ally, while Bane faces his past.

Disney's collaboration with Fortnite extends beyond the Galactic Battle season. In March 2024, Disney acquired a $1.5 billion stake in Epic, paving the way for long-term partnerships.
