Split Fiction: Co-op Adventure Nears 4 Million Sales
Hazelight's beloved co-op adventure, Split Fiction, has achieved a remarkable milestone by selling nearly four million copies. Publisher EA highlighted this achievement in their latest financial results, describing the game's launch as "hugely successful" and crediting it as a key factor in their strong finish to the 2025 financial year.
In a jubilant social media post, Hazelight celebrated the news, stating, "4 MILLION SOLD!!!!". They expressed gratitude to their fans, saying, "So many of you have picked up Split Fiction already, it’s amazing… Seeing the fun you have with our game and the love you show for Mio, Zoe, and each other warms our hearts here at Hazelight. And so many hot dogs made…"
**Split Fiction** immerses players in the diverse worlds of two fiction writers through a groundbreaking co-op experience that allows two players to enjoy the game even if only one owns it. Launched in March, the game quickly became another success for Hazelight and designer Josef Fares, selling over two million copies within its first week. It's also set to be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2, as Hazelight begins development on their next project.Additionally, a film adaptation of Split Fiction is in development by Story Kitchen, the team behind the Sonic films. They are currently assembling a team of writers, a director, and have confirmed that Sydney Sweeney will be part of the cast.
