Electronic Arts recently hosted a livestream event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Sims franchise. The broadcast detailed the exciting in-game gifts and events planned for The Sims 4 players throughout the celebratory period.

The festivities have already commenced with a new update. This update addresses several bugs, boasts a redesigned main menu, and incorporates performance optimizations. Several classic homes in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs have received a stylish makeover. These updated versions are automatically available for new game starts; existing saves can access them via the in-game library.

The main anniversary celebration begins February 4th. A significant update will introduce over 70 free items! Simultaneously, a new in-game event, "Blast from the Past," will launch. Players can unlock retro-themed items and a complete new set by completing a series of straightforward challenges.

Further enriching the celebration, a new season called "Motherlode" will debut on February 6th. Specific details regarding the "Motherlode" season's content remain undisclosed for now.
