Shadow Raids Returns to Pokémon GO
Pokémon GO's Shadow Raid Day: A Fiery Ho-Oh Returns!
Get ready for a fiery showdown! Pokémon GO announces a Shadow Raid Day featuring the legendary Ho-Oh on January 19th, 2025. This marks the first Shadow Raid Day of the year, giving trainers another chance to capture this powerful Fire-type Pokémon.
The event runs from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. During this window, Shadow Ho-Oh will appear in five-star raids, with increased shiny rates. Spin Gyms to earn up to seven free Raid Passes (five base, plus a bonus two). Utilize a Charged TM to teach your Shadow Ho-Oh the devastating Sacred Fire attack (130 power in Trainer Battles, 120 in Raids/Gyms).
Boost Your Raid Potential:
A special $5 ticket will be available, increasing your maximum obtainable Raid Passes from Gyms to 15! This ticket also unlocks additional bonuses:
- Increased Rare Candy XL encounter rates.
- 50% XP bonus from raids.
- 2x Stardust from raids.
These ticket bonuses last until 10 pm local time on January 19th. An Ultra Ticket Box, priced at $4.99, will also be available in the in-game store, including an event ticket and a Premium Battle Pass.
