The rumors, amplified by insider Jeff Grubb, claimed classic God of War remasters would be announced at the event. This buzz prompted the studio to clarify:

"Pantheons collide! We're excited to showcase Greek and Norse characters during this 20th anniversary panel where we'll reflect on the franchise's legacy. Given the lineup of special guests and the significance of this milestone, we want to clarify: no announcements are scheduled for this event." Santa Monica Studio

Rather than game reveals, fans received new artwork featuring Kratos and Jörmungandr. Special guests include original series actors Terrence Carson (Kratos) and Carole Ruggier (Athena). The commemorative panel occurs March 22.
