So, you want to know the secret to fishing in *Rune Slayer*? Let's be honest, it's not exactly intuitive. But fear not, fellow angler! We've wrestled with this system, and we're here to share our hard-earned wisdom. First things first: You'll need a quest. Head to the pier where you'll find Simon the Fisherman (the white-haired chap). He'll give you a quest to catch 5 "fish" – and yes, those quotes are intentional, as you'll soon see.

To catch those fish (or whatever Simon counts as fish), you’ll need gear. Guess who sells it? Simon, of course! Buy a Wood Fishing Rod and at least 5 Worms (we recommend 10 for good measure). Important note: you *don't* equip the bait. Just keep the worms in your inventory. Each successful catch (or junk catch!) will automatically use one worm. It seems you need at least 5 worms in your inventory to even start catching anything. Keep them handy in your hotbar for easy tracking.

Now for the fishing! Select your Wood Fishing Rod (you don't equip it, just select it from your hotbar). Hold down M1 to cast your line into the water. Watch your bobber; when it ripples (once or twice), click M1 again to reel in your catch. It's not foolproof – you might catch nothing, or you might catch junk. But don't worry, Simon counts it all!

Once you've landed five catches (fish or otherwise), return to Simon. He’ll reward you with a Tackle Box. Use it to store your remaining worms, freeing up valuable inventory space. Congratulations, you've conquered Rune Slayer fishing!
