After a prolonged silence, Goichi "Suda51" Suda's Grasshopper Manufacture stormed back onto the scene during last night's State of Play with an explosive trailer for their upcoming ultra-violent sci-fi adventure, Romeo Is a Dead Man.

The game pushes boundaries so far that GhM openly declares violence as its "core gameplay feature," granting players extensive weapon switching capabilities to "disgorge torrents of crimson splatter while experiencing unprecedented levels of brutality and hyperkinetic action."

"Our development team is currently operating at maximum capacity to complete this project. In the past, we'd have reached the stage where sleeping bags would appear in the office, but we now prioritize proper rest periods for our staff," Suda51 reflected.

"I'll always remember our early chaotic all-nighters when we'd receive overtime violation warnings (true story). Final development phases remind me of the pre-festival frenzy depicted in Beautiful Dreamer. This nostalgia makes me want to revisit that classic - though I realize many younger players might need to stream it to understand the reference."

Romeo Is a Dead Man presents an ultra-violent sci-fi action experience from Grasshopper Manufacture. Featuring protagonist Romeo Stargazer (an outstanding name choice) - an FBI Space-Time agent hunting galactic fugitives - the game targets PC (Steam/Microsoft), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms for a 2026 release. Why such an extended timeframe?

"Isn't it obvious?" Suda51 teased, clearly referencing GTA 6. "With That Major Title's date revealed, every publisher strategically avoids collision. Though imagining a simultaneous launch... terrifying thought! Moving on!"
