His focus remains on successfully completing the current project. He revealed that the game was initially conceived as the third major JRPG series for Atlus, following Persona and Shin Megami Tensei, and aims for it to become a flagship title for the company.

While a direct sequel is unlikely, Hashino mentioned the team is already working on their next project. However, an anime adaptation of Metaphor: ReFantazio is being considered. The game itself has been a remarkable success for Atlus, achieving the company's highest concurrent player count to date.
