Rainbow Six Siege Showcase Set for March 2025

Rainbow Six Siege, the Ubisoft title now nine years old, is set to receive substantial gameplay improvements and refinements under the name Rainbow Six Siege X. Ubisoft made the announcement on February 17, 2025, with further details slated for release in March 2025.

The Rainbow Six Siege X showcase will take place on March 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM PDT / 1:00 PM EDT in Atlanta, Georgia, where the extensive changes planned for the game will be featured. "This event is designed as an immersive and unique Siege experience, uniting players, creators, and developers as we unveil all the evolutions arriving with Siege X, along with plenty of other surprises!"

Attendees wishing to join the event in person need to purchase a $10 USD ticket, which includes an exclusive long-sleeve shirt and an in-game cosmetic pack. However, interested fans must meet the following three eligibility criteria:

　⚫︎ Must be at least 18 years old
　⚫︎ Must have a valid Rainbow Six Siege account (no active bans or sanctions)

Ubisoft is also offering VIP packages for two fortunate Rainbow Six fans, which cover "hotel accommodation, roundtrip airfare, and entry to the Showcase event!" This giveaway is similarly restricted to legal residents of the USA and Canada.

The forthcoming update introduces "new ways to play, deeper tactical gameplay, a refined game feel, and comprehensive upgrades throughout." Specifics regarding these changes will be fully detailed during the upcoming showcase.

Rainbow Six Siege Approaches Its 10th Anniversary

Rainbow Six Siege originally launched on December 1, 2015, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It was later ported to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2020. Over the years, Ubisoft has delivered numerous updates, establishing it as one of the longest-running live-service shooters available on multiple platforms. The upcoming major update is expected to further extend the Rainbow Six franchise's enduring appeal.

In a Steam post dated February 17, 2025, Ubisoft also introduced a new operator, Aurora, who can deploy bulletproof doors. Additionally, the game will feature a new elite skin for operator Aruni and a reputation system that rewards or penalizes players based on their in-game conduct each season. These additions will debut in Season 1 of the 10th year, titled Operation Prep Phase, on March 4, 2025, commemorating the game's 10th anniversary.

Given Season 10's launch timing and the Rainbow Six Siege X showcase schedule, it appears the major upgrades will be integrated into the live servers at a later date.
