Ubisoft Delays Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence
Rainbow Six Mobile and Tom Clancy's The Division Resurgence, highly anticipated mobile titles, have been delayed yet again. Initially slated for release sometime between 2024 and 2025, Ubisoft now plans to launch both games after its FY25 fiscal year, meaning a release sometime in early 2025 at the earliest.
This postponement, revealed in a recent business document, aims to mitigate competition within the already saturated tactical shooter market. Ubisoft seeks to optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) by avoiding a crowded release window. The delay isn't attributed to unfinished development, but rather a strategic move to secure a stronger market position.
Strategic Positioning
The decision comes as other major tactical shooters, such as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, are poised for release. Ubisoft's strategy prioritizes a strong initial market performance over a rushed launch.
While disappointing for fans eagerly awaiting mobile versions of these popular franchises, pre-registration remains open for both games.
