The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, marking the first international PUBG Mobile Esports event of the year. With an impressive $500,000 prize pool at stake, the Open Qualifiers began on February 13th, offering a golden opportunity for over 90,000 registered competitors to showcase their skills and vie for a coveted spot in the PMGO Main Event.

This tournament is exclusively for amateurs, ensuring that emerging talent gets a chance to shine. Teams will need to navigate through multiple rounds to earn their place at the top. Those with at least one player ranked in the Ultimate 500 from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already secured a spot in Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, new squads will fight for a position in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll face off against the leading teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.

From the Prelims, twelve teams will advance to the PMGO Main Event, set for April 12th-13th, where they will challenge PUBG Mobile's elite professional teams. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already earned their spots based on their performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. An additional four teams will join them from regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.

The Open Qualifiers will continue until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th. This event is just the beginning of a packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC scheduled to follow later in 2025.
