Finding the Curioshell Crab can be challenging as it appears across various maps. Our most reliable spot has been the Scarlet Forest. From the base camp, head towards Area 6: Flowering Rocks pop-up camp, located between Areas 2 and 6. If you haven't discovered this site yet, be sure to explore it.

Once you reach the Flowering Rocks, look for a nearby puddle of water, a prime spawning spot for the Curioshell Crab. If you struggle to spot it, Alma can assist you. She will mention if a creature nearby is holding something, signaling the presence of a Curioshell Crab.

Equip your Capture Net, aim carefully until the reticle turns orange, and fire to capture the crab. A successful capture will reward you with both a Curioshell Crab and an Ancient Wyvern Coin.

The Curioshell Crab is known for its swift movements, so anticipate its path and aim ahead to ensure a successful capture. Other reliable locations include Area 13 of the Windward Plains and Area 8 of the Scarlet Forest. While the crab may appear elsewhere, these spots have proven effective in our tests.
