Get ready for significant updates to Pokémon GO! Developer Niantic has dropped hints suggesting the arrival of Dynamax and Gigantamax mechanics, features initially seen in Pokémon Sword and Shield. This exciting news accompanies the confirmed addition of Morpeko, a Pokémon known for its form-changing abilities.
The upcoming season promises "big changes, big battles, and…big Pokémon," according to Niantic. Morpeko's introduction, capable of changing forms mid-battle using Charged Attacks, fuels speculation about the implementation of Dynamax and Gigantamax. This speculation is further fueled by the expected focus on Galar Pokémon in the new season.
While specifics remain undisclosed, the arrival of these "big" changes is anticipated for September. The addition of Morpeko has led fans to predict the potential inclusion of other Galar region Pokémon like Mimikyu and Aegislash. The method of incorporating Dynamax and Gigantamax into Pokémon GO, including the possibility of Power Spots, remains unknown.
