Pokémon Go Launches Wayfarer Challenge in Chile and India
Niantic has exciting news for Pokémon Go enthusiasts in Chile and India with the launch of the Wayfarer Challenge. This event offers trainers a unique opportunity to influence their local gaming environment while earning exclusive rewards. From March 7th to 9th in Chile and March 10th to 12th in India, participants can review and approve Wayspot nominations through the Niantic Wayfarer platform, potentially turning real-world landmarks, sculptures, and street art into new PokéStops and Gyms.
Engaging in the Wayfarer Challenge not only helps enhance the Pokémon Go map but also contributes to community milestones. If the community resolves 5,000 nominations, all participants will be rewarded with 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. Push the total to 10,000 approvals, and the rewards escalate to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.
To participate, you must be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have an active Niantic Wayfarer account. New users will need to complete the Wayfarer Orientation before diving into the review process. Additionally, you must have recently played in Chile or India or have your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location set to one of these countries. To be eligible for rewards, you'll need to review at least 50 nominations, and at least one community milestone must be achieved.
Simultaneously, the PokéStop Challenge will run from March 9th to 12th, exclusively in Chile and India. This event promises 3x XP for first-time visits to newly added PokéStops, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and increased Kecleon spawns. Event-specific Field Research tasks will offer encounters with Eevee, while Timed Research provides chances to catch other Pokémon.
