Another week brings another rollercoaster ride in the Pokémon TCG single card market as fans eagerly await the release of Destined Rivals. Fortunately, the Black Bolt and White Flare preorders at the Pokémon Center managed to dodge the usual bot frenzy this time around.

The standout crash this week is Greninja ex 214/167, which has plummeted nearly 50% since the start of the year. We're also witnessing significant price drops in cards from Obsidian Flames and the elusive 151 expansions. On the flip side, Dragonite V from Evolving Skies has nearly doubled in value since January, a testament to its underappreciated artwork.

Charizard V Alt Art is another gem, showcasing a thrilling battle against Venusaur and steadily climbing in value. Meanwhile, Rayquaza VMAX Alt Art is skyrocketing, adding an extra $100 to its value since the beginning of the year. Let's delve into the week's most significant Pokémon TCG climbers and crashers.

Pokémon Card Crashes

Alakazam ex SIR from the 151 set is a stunning card, now 34% cheaper than at the beginning of March. It's a must-have for any collector, especially those who appreciate Uri Gellar's grandfather's legacy.

Bulbasaur was my first starter Pokémon back in Pokémon Blue, so the Bulbasaur IR holds a special place in my heart. It has seen a massive 52% drop since mid-March, making it the perfect time to add this beautiful card to your collection.

Moving to Obsidian Flames, Ninetales IR has always been a standout card. With a 40% price crash since February, now is the time to grab this card for a reasonable $18.17.

The biggest crasher this month is Greninja ex SIR, which once seemed destined to be the priciest Scarlet and Violet card. However, Prismatic Evolutions upped the ante. It's still a top-tier card holding strong at $275, but it's a far cry from its February high of $411.62.

Pokémon Card Climbers

Already a $500+ card, it's now at $649.99 and showing no signs of slowing down. It might even hit the $1,000 mark in a few years, so grab one if you can.

As a fan of Kanto, I can't get enough of the Charizard V Alt Art, which captures a dynamic battle with Venusaur. Its unique angle and sense of movement set it apart from many static Pokémon cards. It's gained another $40 since January and could easily surpass $200 before the year ends.
