Players Demand Oblivion Remastered Patch

The community of *Oblivion Remastered* players eagerly awaits a new patch, more than a month after the game's release. Dive in to discover what fans are hoping for in upcoming updates and why console gamers particularly need this patch.
Fans Are Looking for an Update
It's been over a month since The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered hit the shelves, and developer Bethesda has yet to provide any news on forthcoming patches. This silence has led to a wave of anxiety among players, with many voicing their concerns on Reddit about what they wish to see fixed or added to the game.
Three days post-launch, Bethesda did roll out a hotfix, but it inadvertently introduced new problems, such as the removal of upscaling options. Although a subsequent patch addressed this, it required a cumbersome workaround to restore the upscaling functionality.
Despite these efforts, players continue to face numerous bugs, including the notorious Kvatch quest bug, which soft-locks players and halts their progress. While the community has developed temporary fixes, an official solution from Bethesda is still pending.
Amidst the ongoing wait, fans remain hopeful for a new patch. They've been vocal about their wish list, which includes inventory subcategories, enhanced controller shortcuts, and other quality-of-life improvements.
Consoles Need It More
The demand for an update is particularly acute among console players. Recent reports highlighted that the PlayStation and Xbox versions of Oblivion Remastered suffer from performance degradation over extended play sessions. These issues, potentially due to memory management problems, result in persistent glitches and stutters in specific game areas.
Bethesda has yet to respond to these concerns, leaving console players to devise their own solutions. In an attempt to gather more feedback, Bethesda recently opened a suggestions channel on their official Discord server, encouraging players to share their ideas and report issues.
Oblivion Remastered Player Paralyzed for 66 In-Game Years
In a lighter vein, one player found themselves in an extraordinary situation after self-inflicting a paralysis spell lasting an astonishing 2,097,762,304 seconds—equivalent to 66 in-game years. Reddit user Vaverka shared this amusing ordeal on May 20, humorously noting that the duration surpassed Emperor Uriel Septim's reign over Tamriel. While many were curious about the spell's recipe, Vaverka has yet to divulge the details.
As players continue to explore Oblivion Remastered, they uncover both the game's charm and its bugs. Given that it's been 20 years since the original release, fans are hopeful that Bethesda will address their concerns soon, enhancing the beloved game. Hopefully, a patch will arrive before Vaverka's spell wears off.
