Pikmin Bloom is set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month with a nostalgic twist that will delight fans. Starting May 1st, 2025, Niantic is bringing back beloved gadgets from the past in a special event that runs through May 31st, 2025.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has introduced a variety of fun decor, including Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, the game is reintroducing classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s. Additionally, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be available, paying homage to Nintendo's early days when they produced playing cards before venturing into video games. These cards are inspired by Nintendo's vintage playing card designs.

Throughout the event, players can participate in missions to earn rewards such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals. Completing Event Challenge missions will grant you these random rewards, enhancing your gameplay experience.

During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear, and smashing them will yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other useful items. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 and Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at tackling these mushrooms, making them essential for maximizing your rewards.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

In May, players can look forward to cultivating big flowers such as carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses by planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them. Furthermore, a nectar update will allow fruit from mushrooms harvested during May to provide nectar not only for regular flowers but also for these special blooms.
