This guide is part of our comprehensive Path of Exile 2 Guide Hub: Tips, Builds, Quests, Bosses, and More.
Quick Links
The Trial of the Sekhemas in Path of Exile 2 is an endgame activity, similar to the Sanctum from the first game. It's a valuable source of loot, though challenging for less powerful characters. While not a main quest component, it significantly contributes to early character progression and loot acquisition. This guide provides essential information.
How to Unlock the Trial of the Sekhemas in Path of Exile 2
Access requires defeating Balbala the Traitor, located in Traitor's Passage (Act 2). She's a formidable opponent early on, but defeating her yields Balbala's Barya – crucial for starting the Trial.
After defeating Balbala, travel to the Trial's location (accessible via Ardura's travel map or waypoint). Balbala will act as your guide. Place Balbala's Barya on the Relic Altar to begin.
