Metaphor: ReFantazio Party Member Recruitment Guide: A Detailed Timeline

Beyond the protagonist, seven companions will join your adventure in Metaphor: ReFantazio, each contributing unique combat skills. While Gallica is present from the outset, her combat participation is limited. This guide details the precise in-game dates each party member joins, but be warned: reading ahead may reveal minor story surprises.

Spoiler Warning: This article contains minor spoilers regarding party member recruitment in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Party Member Joining Dates:

Each party member awakens to a unique Archetype, usable by any party member once unlocked. Early recruits may initially be AI-controlled, unlike later members who awaken immediately before their first combat appearance.

• Strohl (Warrior): Joins on June 5th during the Border Fort events, but his Archetype awakens the following day, June 6th, in the Nord Mines. Until then, he's AI-controlled.

• Grius: Joins after the Border Fort events, but becomes a full party member on June 6th, after Strohl's awakening. While you can summon an Archetype for Grius, he doesn't undergo a traditional awakening.

• Hulkenberg (Knight): Begins interacting with the party on June 10th, fully joining and awakening her Archetype during the boss fight on June 11th.

• Heismay (Thief): Heismay's awakening and party integration occur on July 4th within Martira's main dungeon.

• Junah (Masked Dancer): Joins the party upon her Archetype awakening on August 13th.

• Eupha (Summoner): Eupha's recruitment is flexible. Completing the Dragon Temple Dungeon anytime between August 19th and September 4th (during Viraga Island's free time) adds her to the party for the final boss fight. However, her Bond quest begins only after this period concludes.

• Basilio (Berserker): Awakens and joins during the Saint's Day events on September 11th, though combat use is delayed until the following day (optional).
