Attention all Death Stranding enthusiasts! Exciting news is on the horizon with the much-anticipated sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, set to hit the shelves in June. The iconic face of the franchise, actor Norman Reedus, recently shared some tantalizing insights about the game and a potential film adaptation during his interview with IGN.

When quizzed about the possibility of reprising his role in a cinematic version of the game, which is currently in its embryonic stages under the direction of Michael Sarnoski and A24, Reedus expressed his enthusiasm: “If it was an option, yeah, for sure,” he said. “I don’t know what’s happening with it. It’s so pre pre pre right now. But yeah, of course.”

During the interview, Reedus also touched upon his initial confusion with the first game and whether those feelings persisted as he embarked on the sequel. He conveyed a deep trust in the game's visionary creator, Hideo Kojima. “As far as working with him and understanding where his head’s at, I don’t think anybody can understand where his head’s at,” Reedus explained. “He’s just that guy, he’s out there and he’s got great ideas. But story-wise, I did know what was happening more. There’s more action in it, there’s more of a definite goal to get to.”

Regardless of the complexities within the Death Stranding universe, Reedus remains thrilled to be part of the journey. “It’s always a trip working on those things,” he shared with IGN. “It’s great, but it’s wild.”
