Nintendo: Switch 2 Supply May Fall Short Amid Demand
Nintendo has issued its anticipated delivery warning for the Switch 2 launch day to U.S. fans, following earlier struggles to meet Japanese demand.
The company updated its website, cautioning those registered for Switch 2 purchases via My Nintendo Store that June 5 delivery isn't guaranteed.
Invitation emails might arrive after the console's release, though Nintendo promises shipping date confirmation upon purchase.
"We appreciate everyone who registered interest in My Nintendo Store purchases," Nintendo stated.
"The overwhelming response to Nintendo Switch 2 excites us! With unprecedented demand, we're prioritizing order fulfillment, but can't promise June 5 deliveries. Invitations may come post-launch, with shipping dates confirmed at checkout."
Nintendo now suggests better launch-day availability through third-party retailers - worrying news given overnight pre-order sellouts.
"For improved launch-day purchase opportunities, check our retail partners listed above," Nintendo advised, referencing a GameStop link (currently sold out).
"Those awaiting My Nintendo Store invitations need take no further action after registration."
