Nintendo has rolled out a crucial firmware update for its Switch console ahead of the Switch 2 launch. Firmware Version 20.0.0 introduces several significant changes to prepare the aging console for its successor's debut this June.

Seamless Transition to Switch 2

The update's standout feature is the new system transfer option within Settings. Players can now migrate their data from Switch to Switch 2 via local wireless connection. Interestingly, Nintendo also included a cloud-based transfer option for those who might sell their original Switch before obtaining the new model.
