Nintendo's Alarmo alarm clock: Japan launch delayed, but global availability continues

Due to unexpectedly high demand and insufficient stock, Nintendo has announced a postponement of the Alarmo's general retail release in Japan. Initially slated for February 2025, the launch has been delayed indefinitely. This delay, however, doesn't currently affect the release in other regions, which remains scheduled for March 2025.

To manage the current inventory shortage, Nintendo Japan will offer a pre-order period exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers within Japan. This pre-order window opens mid-December, with shipments expected in early February 2025. Specific pre-order dates will be announced shortly.

The Alarmo, a popular interactive alarm clock featuring iconic Nintendo melodies from franchises like Super Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, and RingFit Adventure (with more to be added via updates), launched globally in October 2024. Its immediate popularity led to a swift sell-out at both online and physical Nintendo stores worldwide, including a complete sell-out in Japan and even the New York Nintendo store. This unexpected success prompted Nintendo to halt online orders and implement a lottery system.
