A speedrunner known as Ikaboze achieved an extraordinary feat at the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience in Japan, where he completed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in under 10 minutes. This impressive accomplishment took place amidst the buzz of the event, where Ikaboze used an existing save file without prior knowledge of Link's equipment. His challenge? To defeat the final boss, Ganon, "completely naked and with all equipment removed." Utilizing a save file that transported him directly to the final boss fight, Ikaboze managed to defeat Ganon in just seven minutes, prompting spontaneous applause from the gathered crowd.

The feat was made even more remarkable by the fact that Ikaboze was using an unfamiliar controller and could not hear the game due to the noise of the convention hall. He expressed his surprise at the large crowd and the attention from staff, who were filming the event on their smartphones. This was the first time anyone had completed the Breath of the Wild demo at the event, earning him congratulations from the staff.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild offers enhanced visuals and performance, achievements, and support for the new "Zelda Notes" service through the Nintendo Switch Online app. Owners of the original Switch version can upgrade to these new features with a $10 upgrade pack. Additionally, both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom upgrade packs are available at no extra cost to Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack subscribers.
