Nintendo Switch 2 Preorders Officially Start on April 9
Nintendo has officially announced the much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, with preorders starting on April 9 in the United States and April 8 in the UK. The new console will hit the shelves on June 5, 2025, priced at $449.99. Alongside the standard model, Nintendo is offering a Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle for $499.99, which includes the console and a download code for the Mario Kart World game, available from launch day. If you're looking to buy Mario Kart World separately, prepare for a price tag of $79.99.
Stay ahead of the game by registering your interest for Nintendo Switch 2 and its accessories at My Nintendo Store. You'll receive an email invitation to preorder on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to those with a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online membership and at least 50 gameplay hours logged by April 2, 2025. After priority users, remaining eligible registrants will be considered. Keep in mind, invitations are non-transferable and valid for 72 hours, with a purchase limit of one system and one of each accessory per account. Major retailers will also open preorders on April 9, 2025.
