During the CES 2025 event, Genki captured attention by displaying a 3D-printed mockup of what they claimed to be the much-anticipated next-generation console, the Nintendo Switch 2. Genki also reportedly told journalists and attendees at the event that they had access to a "real" Switch 2 and hinted at a release date.
