GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE global players are upset over differences with the Chinese (CN) server. Launched on May 22, the CN server has received significant enhancements not seen in the global version.

In a May 22 Reddit post, user Glittering_Novel_783 highlighted that the CN version includes long-requested quality-of-life improvements, such as faster loading times, auto-progress in Tribe Towers, enhanced characters, and improved shops.

Players noted that Regular and Manufacturer Molds on the CN server offer better quality. Molds, used to unlock characters, have a 60% SSR chance and 40% SR chance on the global server, with Manufacturer Molds at 50% SSR, 30% SR, and 20% R.

The CN server, however, features a pity system guaranteeing an SSR after collecting 50 pity shards, a feature absent globally. Reports also suggest CN Manufacturer Molds exclude R ranks, boosting SSR and SR odds.

Community Outrage Grows

Reddit users expressed disappointment, feeling the global version is neglected. Many questioned why SHIFT UP hasn’t applied CN server improvements globally, citing other games that prioritize CN markets due to their size.

On NIKKE’s official Discord, players have flooded feedback channels with complaints. Threads voicing frustration have garnered hundreds to thousands of upvotes and comments.

The top Discord feedback thread demands equal benefits as the CN server. A user shared evidence of an exclusive CN Private skin, fueling calls for its global release. Comments continue to surge as dissatisfaction persists.

SHIFT UP Addresses the Controversy

In SHIFT UP’s May 2025 Developer’s Note, they acknowledged the CN version’s distinct build due to a 2.5-year gap. They stated, “This gap may introduce story spoilers but also enables unique, complementary features.”

SHIFT UP recognized fans’ frustration and explained that both versions “will evolve independently under distinct conditions, with differences enriching each other.”

The developer pledged ongoing support for both versions, saying, “We are fully committed to enhancing the global version and will work to strengthen both editions together.”

Players Reject Developer’s Response

Despite SHIFT UP’s explanation, players remain furious. Subreddits like r/NikkeMobile and r/gachagaming ridiculed the response, calling it a tactic to placate fans.

Memes and satire, including a post by user satufa2 mocking the “enriching” comment with a clown image, flooded social media. Players urged others to review-bomb the game to pressure developers.

Players also called for a “spending freeze” to halt in-game purchases until SHIFT UP aligns global updates with CN’s. This tactic, common in gacha games, targets revenue to push for change.

As of now, fans continue to flood Subreddits and Discord with complaints. It remains unclear whether SHIFT UP will issue another statement or maintain separate updates for each region.
