Neverness to Everness is set to hold its first closed beta test, but only in China
Hotta Studios' upcoming open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test – exclusively in mainland China. While international players can't participate, they can still keep an eye on developments.
Gematsu recently highlighted new lore details, which shouldn't surprise anyone who's seen the Eibon city trailers (see below). The game expands on its comedic story elements and showcases the blend of bizarre and ordinary within the Hetherau setting.
Hotta Studios, a subsidiary of Perfect World (creators of the successful Tower of Fantasy), is entering a competitive 3D RPG market with a unique twist: open-world driving. Players can purchase and customize various vehicles, experiencing realistic crash physics.
Neverness to Everness faces tough competition from titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both setting high standards in the mobile 3D open-world RPG genre. The game's unique driving mechanic, however, could be a key differentiator.
