Netflix Prepares Live-Action Dungeons & Dragons Series
Netflix is developing a live-action Dungeons & Dragons series based on the Forgotten Realms setting, according to Deadline. The project, one of Netflix's largest fantasy investments, is helmed by Shawn Levy (Deadpool, Wolverine), with Drew Crevello (WeCrashed) as writer and showrunner. The series, currently in development, has the potential to launch a larger D&D universe on the platform. While Netflix and Hasbro haven't officially commented, Deadline reports that a pilot script is complete following extensive negotiations.

While this Netflix series shows promise, a sequel to the well-received Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves remains uncertain. Despite Chris Pine's enthusiasm for a return, Paramount Pictures' CEO, Brian Robbins, has indicated a sequel is contingent upon a reduced budget. Separately, Amazon's Secret Level anthology series features a D&D animated segment.
