Netflix is launching a retro-futuristic puzzle game, The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, to coincide with the release of its upcoming sci-fi adventure film, The Electric State. Launching March 18th, just days after the film's March 14th premiere, the game offers a unique prequel experience.

Directed by the Russo brothers and starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, The Electric State depicts a post-apocalyptic road trip across an alternate 1990s America. The film features massive robots and a captivating storyline.

More Than Just a Movie Tie-in

The Electric State: Kid Cosmo isn't a simple adaptation; it's a prequel exploring the childhoods of key characters Chris and Michelle through an engaging "game-within-a-game" structure. Developed by BUCK Games (creators of the popular Steam game Let's! Revolution!) in collaboration with AGBO, the game promises solid gameplay.

Set in 1985 Wichita, Kansas, the story unfolds over five years, offering a deeper understanding of Chris and Michelle's journey before the film's events. Players will embark on puzzle adventures reminiscent of the WarioWare series, but with a distinct 80s aesthetic. Gameplay involves collecting modules, repairing Kid Cosmo's ship, and solving puzzles that gradually reveal the secrets of this strange world.
